New Facebook feature & my New Blog

The new Facebook feature that I still get questions on a regular basis about is the subscribe feature.

This new Facebook feature (if you enable it) makes your Facebook profile more of an open platform, like  Twitter  or  Google Plus, and any status updates that you specify as "public" will post for both your friends and your subscribers.

If you want facts about the new subscribe feature from Facebook directly check out the link below:

If you want to allow subscribers just go to your profile and click the "subscribers" link below your profile picture.
Facebook will ask if you want to allow subscriptions to your posts and once you do you're ready to go.

I like this new Facebook feature, it eases the process of creating new connections on  Facebook, so if you want to connect with new people and build your online brand I recommend you enable it.

The second feature Facebook enabled is the ability to send your personal Facebook status updates automatically to Twitter.

You can also follow me on Twitter at   http://twitter.com/GraceJee

New Blog!

Although I have not set off fireworks or had an official launch party yet, I launched a new
Personal Development Sources blog.

Get Ahead by Being Yourself

By:    Ari Galper

Get Ahead by Being Yourself

I know how much of a difference it will make in your work and life.

Instead of being aggressive, you really can be helpful.

You can be forthright, honest, authentic, and -- yes, even nice -- and come out well ahead of where you’d be if you were using those old techniques.

You can really focus on discovering whether there’s a fit, and be far more successful than when you try to persuade or maneuver someone into buying something.

In other words, you can be yourself.

When you’re simply being real and not acting, you might feel a bit uncertain.

It’s like playing hockey -- when you suddenly stop being aggressive, there’s a sense of impending doom.
But when you step outside the game entirely, you’re not in any danger.

And prospects don’t feel any danger, either.

They don’t have to be on the defensive.

They can be honest about whether they’re available to talk, or if they’re interested in your product.

They’ll feel okay talking at length with you if they’re pretty sure they’re not going to be sandbagged by sales techniques.

They’ll share their truth more readily, hear you out, and be clearer about where they stand, so you know whether there’s any real possibility for a client relationship.

The Power of Authenticity

By:    Ari Galper

Are you the kind of person who really prefers to be honest and straightforward in everything you do in your work life?

It turns out that there are many other people who also like the idea of being authentic and sincere in their work life. In fact, I’m starting to think that maybe we all, on some deep level, crave authenticity not only in our work but also in our personal lives. In fact, there’s even starting to be a kind of underground revolution that’s happening in the world of selling.

This incredible shift is something well worth sharing with you, because a lot of people struggle with trusting anything to do with the activity of selling. The reason is, most selling has become completely inauthentic.

Pretty much anyone can memorize techniques and strategies, and if you focus on doing that, then you’re just one of the crowd when it comes to trying to engage a potential new client.

You may develop a great sales demeanor, but the truth is -- there are a lot of other people out there doing the same thing. They’re approaching the same decision makers in the same way for the same purposes. They’re marching together in lockstep to what’s really the same music: “Get the sale”.

Now imagine how much you would stand out from the crowd when you’re just being yourself and not playing that game. Imagine the entirely different response people will have to someone who’s actually interested in their well-being and in what works for them in their world.

Being different and standing out is not about words or strategies. It’s about being who you are.

It probably sounds trite, but the truth is, there’s only one of you on the planet. When you’re being yourself, you’re going to be unique.

I personally have seen huge schools of fish in the ocean, and if I didn’t know they were made up of hundreds of individual fish moving en masse, I’d swear they were just one big organism. They all look the same, and they all turn at the same time, as if they’re all connected at the hip (or the fin).

Unfortunately, that’s sort of what it’s like when it comes to sales programs. People tend to follow what they feel is the latest and best technique. But the big problem here is the whole idea of following in the first place.

99 Ways to Skin a Cat

It seems like everybody has their own theory on how to survive the recession. Just some of the kind of stuff you’ll see across the internet and blogosphere is advice like:

1. Protect your job

2. Move while others are distracted

3. Earn extra money

4. Evaluate your mortgage

5. Refinance high interest credit cards

6. Reduce spending

7. Haggle your way to savings

8. Conserve and reduce your energy bills

9. Avoid taking on any unnecessary debts

I really could go on to reach 99 just to represent the saying, “99 ways to skin a cat”.

But I won’t waste your time. I know you can Google it for yourself and find hundreds more advice from every Tom, Dick and Harry out there.

So let me get straight to the point.

With so many ways and advice, how come not everyone gets rich? How come not everyone who reduces their spending get rich? How come not everyone who has an education get rich? How come not everyone who starts a business get rich?

Because it’s not about what you do, it’s about how you do it. Cause while there are 99 ways to skin a cat, if you don’t do it RIGHT — whichever method you have chosen — it won’t bring RESULTS.

So what is the ONE right thing that you need to do to get rich?

Bob Proctor  knows. And he wants to tell you that there is a science — a formula — to get rich. It’s about doing certain things in a certain way. And this blueprint has been proven to make anyone  get rich  across centuries.

Make Money with eBooks

The internet has opened up many new ways to earn money.

Now almost everyone can easily start making money online.

While there are many methods and techniques to earn money on the internet, selling ebooks, using the Amazon affiliate program and starting your own Yahoo Store are some of the easiest for people who do not have much experience in internet marketing.

Making money with ebooks

Ebooks are basically informational content that is being sold online.

Most of the ebooks being sold on the internet are instructional how-to guides which answer people's questions about a specific need.

These could be guides on making money online, fixing computer problems, training your dog, relationship advice and more.

What most people don't realize is that while the sales pages may tout the guides as being the ultimate sources of exclusive, top secret information that is impossible to find anywhere else, this is actually far from being actually the case.

The same information found in these guides can usually be located by spending a few hours of searching and putting together your findings.

All that the authors do is rewrite common methods, advice and information, and sometimes add their own advice based on their knowledge of the subject.

This means that you do not have to be a professional writer to put together a successful ebook, but you should at least have some knowledge and interest in the topic of the guide you are writing.

Once you have your ebook written, you need a way to sell it.

You will need to set up a website with a sales letter that tells people what your product is about and most importantly why they should buy it.

While writing good sales copy takes some practice, you can get some ideas from the sales pages of other products on the internet.

To take payments and deliver the product, you can set up a "buy it now" button in your PayPal account that will redirect buyers to download your ebook once they have made the payment.

To sell your ebook, you can buy  text advertisements and  banner ads on sites which deal with the topic your ebook is written about, such as forums.

While it may seem like a challenging task at first, after you gain an understanding of the details of how to write and promote ebooks, you can have a lot of success.

For more information, you can visit popular internet marketing forums such as The Warrior Forum (www.warriorforum.com) and Digital Point (forums.digitalpoint.com)

The Chocolate Man and His Sales Strategy

By:   Ari Galper

Just around the corner from my house are a few specialty shops catering to the residents in our neighborhood.

Over the past six months, there's been a vacancy in one of them and each day as I walk past it on my way to my office, I've become more curious as to what kind of entrepreneur will rent that space.

A couple of months ago, my curiosity was answered.

A gentleman named Antonio rented it (he's from Italy) and his specialty is making chocolates from a family recipe he says, no one else offers in Sydney.

He opened his chocolate shop with trays of his family recipe chocolate that he proudly displays as you walk by his shop window.

Antonio has a great personality. Whenever you walk by his shop he's always smiling and offering a sample.

You can see he is proud of what he does and LOVES his chocolate product.

There's no doubt, he is very knowledgeable from his years of experience in his field.

He even wears one of those fancy chef outfits that gives him a real authentic "chocolatier" look.

The chocolate itself isn't bad, but it certainly isn't a game changer.

Over the last couple of weeks as I've walked by his shop, I've started to make mental notes to myself about his odds of making his entrepreneurial venture a success.

Get Paid To Teach People All Over the World

G'day friends, today I am going to share with you how to get paid to teach people all over the world. Hope you get the most out of this blog post.

If you have knowledge and experience to share then you can do so in a podcast  or  newsletter, or by writing content for a site such as demandstudios.com, who will pay for articles.

Alternatively, you can become an online tutor and communicate directly with students through video chat and email.

You could find your own students by advertising your services on craigslist.org, or join a company who will pair you up with suitable learners.

In order to get the best jobs, you may need some relevant qualifications, such as a degree, proven experience in a particular field, or a teaching certificate of some kind.

Websites that recruit online teachers include universalclass.com, mytutor24.com, and tutor.com.

Wiziq.com has a teacher directory where you can describe yourself and potential students can find you.
